dirty menus

A friend went to a restaurant and witnessed a man putting his hand into his pants and scratching from his rear to the front, and then he did something with his menu. Options when dining out:

A. Bring chlorox wipes to clean restaurant menus.
B. Never eat out again.
C. Ask wait staff to read out all menu options so you don't have to touch the menu.

haphephobia

I learned something new today. Haphephobia is the fear of touch. I don't have this phobia, only the fear of dirty hands trying to touch my person or property (food included).

the nail shop

I enjoy getting my nails done but I question the cleanliness of nail shops. Do the employees wash their hands between customers, especially after they've worked on customers' feet? I noticed that they pour any unused acetone back into the bottle. I always ask them not to massage my hand with lotion but she surprised me today. I really hoped that she had washed her hands. I washed my hands with soap and warm water three times before I left the nail shop.

Serving utensils

I wish sets of serving utensils/community chopsticks were etiquette rather than a request.

ice cream store

I watched the man at the ice cream store touch money then immediately touch the waffle cone with his bare hands. He had dirty fingernails and also smelled off cigarettes. I got a scoop in a cup will never go back.
